Synapse Synopsis is an ever-growing community of inspiring, thoughtful, passionate humans. We are teachers, students, designers, therapists, programmers, directors, developers, carpenters, visionaries, naturalists, community organizers, biologists, writers, physicists, astronomers, singers, dancers, artists, body workers, technicians, parents, managers, analysts, strategists, and doctors. We share a love of learning and storytelling, of creating and sharing.
All attendees at SynSyn events are active participants — people who are interested in presenting and/or hosting.

Renata Martin

Life-long educator, learner, designer, mover and shaker, Renata is driven by connecting people and creating empowering experiences emphasizing social and environmental responsibility. She wants to open doors, to make it so inviting on the other side that they ask how to open that door for themselves—and never want to go back. Synapse Synopsis was born out of the desire to connect the inspiring, creative, brilliant, passionate people in her life. The individuals in this community are undoubtedly powerful; together, we are simply unstoppable.
Jamie Bedford
Co-Founder • Videographer • Project Manager
Jamie’s passion is utilizing modern technology to make the world a better place to live. He believes that one key way to do that is to make access to knowledge and education widespread, a task which SynSyn takes on head first. When he’s not filming presentations at SynSyns, organizing the backend information, or routinizing the processes, Jamie can be found singing barbershop harmony…and encouraging others to do it with him, too.

Victoria Norman

As a serial organizer, Victoria got involved in Synapse Synopsis to lend a helping hand. Passionate about the environment and social justice, Victoria became a vegetarian in 2019 and works in the field of sustainability, making the world a better place one audit at a time. Victoria is an avid cyclist who owns far too much spandex and participated in the Northern California Climate Ride in May 2018 and AIDS LifeCycle in June 2019. Victoria loves making Synapse Synopses happen and learning from this incredible group of people.
